DIY Citrus Infused Vinegar for Cleaning in Mason Jars

DIY Citrus Infused Vinegar for Cleaning in Mason Jars

Vinegar is one of the best natural cleaners around, but let's be honest, the smell isn't for everyone. The fix is simple: infuse it with citrus peels, and you get all the cleaning power with a scent you'll actually enjoy.

What you need:

  • Pint or Quart Mason Jar
  • Citrus Peels (we like lemon and lime)
  • Distilled white vinegar

How to make it:

  1. Fill the jar with citrus peels.
  2. Top with vinegar, making sure the peels are fully submerged, and give it a good shake.
  3. Let it sit on the counter for 2 to 7 days, shaking daily.
  4. Strain out the peels once it's ready.
  5. For an all-purpose spray, mix your infused vinegar with distilled water in a 1:1 ratio.

Feeling adventurous? Try a fresh pine infusion with a few small branches, or experiment with herbs and spices for a totally custom scent.
