Determining Your Mason Jar Size

You can also determine the size of your reCAP by comparing it to the length of a standard credit card. A regular sized reCAP Mason jar lids diameter is smaller than the length of the credit card, however, a wide-mouth reCAP is just slightly larger.
Easy way to tell jar size:
Not sure if your Mason jar is regular mouth or wide mouth? Try this quick trick: place a tennis ball on top of the jar. If it sits on top, it’s a regular mouth. If it falls into the opening, it’s a wide mouth.
