How to Remove a Sticky Jar Label

Nothing kills the vibe of a repurposed jar quite like a stubborn sticker residue. Good news; you don't need harsh chemicals to get it off, just two things you probably already have in your kitchen.

Steps:

  1. Combine equal parts oil and baking soda.
  2. Apply the mixture to the label residue.
  3. Wait 10 minutes.
  4. Wipe off with a towel.

That's it! A clean, ready-to-reuse jar in about 10 minutes.

Give that freshly cleaned jar a job: Once the label's gone, top it with a lid from the reCAP Lids Starter Set and turn it into a spray bottle, pour jar, or storage container. Shop the Starter Set →
