Milk Kefir Recipe

Kefir is a probiotic powerhouse! It's been linked to easing sugar cravings and supporting skin health and digestion. Plus, if you drink 1 to 2 glasses of kefir per day in about three months your high blood pressure can be corrected. Once you've made a batch, you can use it anywhere a recipe calls for milk. This easy how-to will show you the few basic steps you need to make the perfect kefir. Happy Kefiring!

Ingredients:

  • 1 TBSP Kefir Grains
  • 3/4 Cup Organic Whole Milk (not ultra pasteurized)

How to make it:

  1. Add the kefir grains to a regular mouth Mason jar.
  2. Fill the rest of the jar with milk.
  3. Seal and let ferment 12 to 24 hours at room temperature, away from light.
  4. Strain out the grains, then store both the grains and the finished kefir in the fridge.
