The story behind the POUR Lid:
The inspiration for the original POUR cap came from the reCAP Mason Jars founder, Karen Rzepecki. While picking herbs and tomatoes in the garden, Karen was thinking about what salad dressing to make. Remembering the messy and cumbersome jar lids and rings - she had an idea, “I need a pour cap for my Mason jars”.
After spending weeks trying to find one to buy, she realized it didn’t exist and decided, “I can make it myself”. Karen launched the idea on Kickstarter as the world’s first multi-purpose cap for Mason jars and it was an immediate success! Common responses from fans were, “I can’t believe this didn’t exist before reCAP”.
