Dijon, Garlic and Lemon Marinade Recipe in a Mason Jar
Prep time: 15 minutes · Serves: 2
A bright, punchy marinade that works beautifully with chicken, pork, shrimp, or fish: mixed and stored right in a Mason jar for easy, mess-free marinating. Try out our reCAP POUR lid to eliminate spills and utilize an easy storage container
Ingredients:
- 2 shallots (minced)
- 2 garlic cloves (finely minced)
- 3 lemons (zested and juiced)
- 3 tbsp Dijon mustard
- Kosher salt and pepper to taste
- 2 wide-mouth pint Mason jars
How to make it:
- Combine and mix all ingredients in one pint-sized Mason jar.
- Transfer half the marinade into a second jar.
- Add a chicken breast (or other protein) to each jar.
- Seal tightly and refrigerate at least 4 hours, or overnight.
- Remove from the fridge 30 minutes before grilling.
Grilling tips: Marinate overnight for deeper flavor, bring meat to room temperature before grilling, and reserve a little marinade (before it touches raw meat) to brush on while grilling.
Pairs well with: Grilled vegetables, summer salads, roasted potatoes. Store leftover marinade in the fridge up to 3 days.
